usm512 Guitars
These are a few of my custom hand
made guitars, from my shop in Northern California. I build each
guitar from the ground up. They all start life as a few
raw chunks of wood and after hours of cutting, routing
and sanding (and a lot more..) they turn into fine
musical instruments. So far this is a one person shop, I
like it that way because I know everything about each instrument. The woods used are picked for
tone and appearance. This guitar you see above has a
Purple Heart neck with a Flamed Maple fingerboard. I will
have more information and pictures of this and other
guitars that I have on my wall posted very soon. For more information

My OWN PERSONAL Guitar. Birds-Eye maple 1/4" top, walnut back. The neck is PurpleHeart with an Ebony fingerboard. Pickups are Fender Lace Sensor Gold single coil pickups pushed together.. looks like a humbucker but sounds much better to me. Note the lack of dots on the neck... I hate those dots on my personal guitars... so I just don't put them there... Makes for some weird looks when friends pick up my guitar to play and get lost... |

This is Jesse's Bass.. Its sold already... Sorry. A 5 string monster. The body is made up from 10 pieces of wood like a sandwich. The top is Walnut with a Bubinga skunk stripe... the back is a book matched piece of Bubinga.. The dark wood visible in the neck pocket is Wenge. This thing was put together a few years ago as a fretted 5 string.. now I have it back to build a fretless 5 string neck for it. |

This is the same project as above showing its almost truss rod ready neck. The neck is made up of a Wenge - Bubinga - Wenge - Bubinga - Wenge sandwich.. and the fretbord will be the same. |
